Aliens

There's been a lot of shows on tv lately about aliens which had me thinking about this youtube video Chad found a while ago. It's pretty funny :). Enjoy!

Strange

Tuesday mornings are when James has his little rollers class. I got up a little late so I woke James up and ran to get ready. I heard him kind of grunting in the hall so I went to check on him. Poor thing was just hobbling into his room. I thought his leg was asleep so I picked him up and sat him down for a quick breakfast then we ran out the door. When we got to the rec center I took him out of the car and headed in but he fell down several times before we even made it to the sidewalk.

Obviously his leg wouldn't still be asleep, so I had him walk a little more and try to stand on the leg but he fell right over every time. Instead of going to his fun class he got a Dr. visit. Isn't he lucky!

The doctor hardly looked at him. She checked his temp and did a strep test and sent us home. He is no better and we are no closer to knowing what's wrong with his leg. If he's not better by tomorrow I think I'm going to take him back for a more thorough check up.

Little Rollers

Here are some pictures from the Little Rollers class James is taking at the rec. center. They are pretty much a bunch of kids goofing around in a racket ball quart but he LOVES it!

There are like 10 three year olds in the class and she handles all the chaos extremely well. She's amazing!

Q) Why did the cupcake major in hotel and restaurant management?

These cupcakes were so fun and easy to make. I just made a cherry chip (Betty crocker) cake mix and butter cream frosting. I used a 2D decorating tip and started at the outside and swirled into the center (moving up as went in).

A) It wanted to be a Hostess!

Christmas cards

I was in Tia Pan the other day and noticed that they already had all their Christmas decorations out. I can't believe how early that happens now days. Pretty soon we really are going to have Christmas in July! It did get me thinking about cards though. I love doing home made cards instead of buying them. BUT I really hate spending a fortune on stamps each year. I've been trying to find used ones online, but haven't been successful so far.

I just had an idea though. I have a cute CTMH set I bought 2 years ago. It's called "let us adore Him". If any of you have a cute set maybe we can do a little temporary trade. I'm hoping to get an early start, so let me know if you're interested asap.

Funny

I don't know if this is real or not, but it's pretty funny!

Soccer

Why did the soccer ball quit the team?

It was tired of being kicked around!
(you've gotta love laffy taffy jokes)

James started his first year of soccer this month. I can't believe he's old enough to participate in sports now. Time flies too fast.
James just before his first game

During the first game... Isn't he a cute little soccer player!
He is so silly. He seems to have decided that wondering around with his eyes closed is more fun than trying to get the ball from the other team. So far the teams we've played are made up of 4 year olds. Our 3 year old team hardly stands a chance! None of them know what to do. Although his goofing around is kind of funny and cute, I have been getting a little frustrated because I think it makes his coach mad. I'm afraid that saying something to him will just make him hate playing. I'm not really sure what to do. I guess we'll see how the next few games go.

During the first game he took a break from chasing after the other team and came running up to me and said, "I love you mom" and then said the same to grandma K. He then ran back out to the field. It was so cute! He melts my heart! I know chad is the more fun parent and James LOVES to play with him. It feels good to know that although I'm "just" his mom, he still thinks of me! Does that make sense?

Farmers Market

Every Saturday there is a farmers market down the street from my house. It features home made products and such. It is only $5 for a booth, so my mom, sis., and I decided to participate.

Mary made the cutest tutu's and superhero capes. I don't have a pic. of the tutu's, but they are on her blog at http://littleprincessesandlittlesuperheroes.blogspot.com. They are so cute!

I made these "Hooter Hiders". Have you heard of them? They're great! There were times while nursing that James suddenly ripped the blanket off. I wish I had had one of these then!

Sad

When James was born, just after he'd come out, we started video taping him. It was great. We got chad cutting the cord and all that fun stuff. There were a few not so choice parts I had planned to edit out, but I loved having that little video of him. Today I did something terrible... I tapped over it! :( I can't believe I did that. Now it is gone forever. I learned a very hard lesson - always check the tape you're putting in the camcorder, even if you "know" its blank.
