The results of the "how much would you pay" quiz surprised me! Most of you got it right - which makes me wonder...Do you contribute to Bountiful Baskets too?!
For those who don't know, "BB" is a food co-op you can participate in every week. I LOVE it! I think it's tons of fun and very affordable. I even love that I am forced to try things that aren't part of our boring food routine.
On Monday afternoon, BB makes their SITE available for you to buy a basket. You pick it up Saturday Morning. It's only $15 each (plus $1.50) and you can do as many baskets as you want and as many Saturdays as you want. They usually have other things available to buy along with your basket like 5 loaves of DELICIOUS multi grain or whole wheat bread for only $10, tortillas, olive oil and other random things :). Did I mention that I LOVE it? :) I highly recommend that you try it at least one time. If you have any questions about it, just leave me a post.
Here's what I got in today's basket:Plus a bunch of limes that I forgot to add to the picture. The baskets are different every week. I've found that I get more and more excited as the week progresses on.
Anyway...
My better half and the little one went to the Father/son camp-out last night. They wouldn't have been able to go except that they canceled work for "MBH" (my better half...I think that's how I'm going to start referring to him on here because it's definitely a true statement and it's fun ;)...I'm extremely glad they got to go but not so thrilled about the loss of hours. I fear it's going to be an oh so lovely summer in that regard. At least we'll get to see TONS of MBH before he goes back to school this fall!
While they were away, I worked on a few sewing projects. The first one was a sewing machine cover. This project was 2 years in the making. I don't know why I never got around to making one! It's feels so good to get it done. :)
The instructions to make it are HERE. I love the blog I got it from. It's called "Make it and Love it".
I just used fabric and ribbon I had on hand. I think I'll end up changing the ribbon...someday. Maybe in another 2 years?;)
Don't you HATE the little pieces of trash that collect in the car? I do so I made trash bag to hang on the back of the seat - right in front of my little garbage maker :). I hope he uses it! I'll probably replace the ribbon on this one too...someday.
Those instructions are found HERE.
Since I'm the only girl in the family, I tried to find a fabric that wasn't too girly...then I added the pink ribbon. You can't get more girlish than pink! Yeah...I'll definitely be changing that sooner rather than later. I think next time I'll go with a cute print.
So! It was nice to have a few hours to myself but I'm sure glad the boys home... I never sleep very well when I'm alone. I think I watched too much "x-files" and other scary movies when I was younger! ;)
