Honest Scrap

It is called the honest scrap award and these are the rules...
A) First list 10 honest things about yourself--and make it interesting even if you have to dig deep.
B) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of Honest Scrap...

1. I love King of the Hill. I used to hate it but now I'm addicted. :)
2. My Hubby and I have moved 8 times in less than 6 year and I'm dreading the fact that we aren't even done yet. Who knows what the number will be before we can finally "settle down".
3. I can't get enough of the funny things preschoolers say. They are SO funny!
4. I save EVERYTHING. Even silly things I think J. and I can make fun craft projects out of. The problem is that we never do!
5. I'm terrified that I won't have anymore children. I have always wanted a large family. This is probably the biggest challenge life has thrown at me thus far. I'm incredibly lucky I have my sweet little guy.
6. Next time we buy a house I want it to have what I call "church grass"! You know what church grass is like right? It's thick, soft, green and bug/weed free. Our home in Magna was being overtaken by morning glory and SpIdErS! I could never go sit in the grass and relax.
7. I was talking with some of the YW in my ward the other day about movies, TV, and music. I could go on and on about the things they've never heard of that I used to love and it makes me feel very OLD. I keep wondering when exactly it was that I became an old lady! The saddest part is that I'm only 26! Does anyone else ever have this problem?
8. I love to cook. I wish I was an amazing chef, along with professional cake decorator/quilt maker/geologist/swimmer. I would love to be all those things!
9. I only own one pair of earrings. Isn't that sad! I think I need to go jewelry shopping!
10. Although life hasn't turned out as I planned it to be, it is still great. I have a Fantastic husband (who cleaned almost the whole house and did all the laundry while I was away this weekend - what a nice surprise), an amazing son, and a wonderful family/friends who I know are there for us in good times and bad. I am a very blessed person! :)

Now I tag:
Holli
Lyndee
Keira
Lisa
Jen S.
Kara
Robyn
and whoever else wants to!

Give-a-way

Desing Mom is doing another awesome give-a-way. What could be more fun then winning a $300 gift card? Pop on over and enter...wouldn't it be fun if one of us won? Good luck!

Disneyland

We had SO much FuN at Disneyland! We spent three days going between there and California Adventure. The weather was great and the lines were pretty reasonable (except on Friday), especially when we had fast passes - which are a MUST. With the exception of the kiddie rides, the height require for most rides is 40 inches. A month before we left J. was about 39.5 inches with his shoes on. We were pleasantly surprised to find that he had grown to the perfect size. He was so brave and went on many of the big ones such as Space Mt., Thunder Mt. Railroad, Soaring over California, and Splash Mt. The only one he hated was Space Mt. and he really hated it. What a trooper!

This is my favorite picture. What a sweet hug!

Our family with the "big cheese"! Too bad I'm not looking :)

The above and below pic are on the Bugs Life bumper cars. J. said his favorite ride was Star Wars, but I think it was this one. He seemed the happiest on it...he LOVED crashing into everyone! It's only fun for adults because the kids love it so much. They should really call it the "barley tapper cars"!

I like this pic too. It's Hubby and J. on another ride in the Bugs Life section of Calif. adventure, which by the way is GREAT for the kids. I think we could have spent all day there and J. would be pleased as a pickle!

Look how sweet he is! He was dieing to have one of these suckers and aunt Amanda was nice enough to buy one for him. Isn't she nice?

This is J. at the end of the first day. He was ExHaUsTeD! I wished I had something to curl up in and sleep instead of making the long walk back to the hotel. :)

I threw this one in for fun. They did some awesome fireworks behind the castle (purple - in the lower right corner) on each of the nights we were there.

This is actually the first time J. saw Mickey. I think it would have been a great picture if he was smiling. I think he though Mickey was going to take his hat!
What a fun trip! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa O., Amanda, and Spencer for coming with us. We all had a great time!

Adventure

Our California "adventure" has finally begun. We have been looking forward to taking J. to Disneyland for months. He was so excited he had a VERY hard time sleeping last night. We got up early this morning so I thought he'd sleep for a large portion of the trip for sure...but we weren't so lucky. He didn't want to watch movies, color, listen to books on tape or anything. All he wanted to do was sit there and wait. He kept asking questions like "why aren't we at Disneyland yet?" Next time we are making it a surprise!

This is J. in the car giving us a thumbs up as we were traveling. He wore the hat he made in preschool last week in honor of St. Patricks day. He's so cute!

After we made dinner we thought we'd hit the beach. It took us a lot longer to get there then we anticipated but we got there as the sun was setting and it was so beautiful. It was the first time I've ever seen a sunset at the beach. It was wonderful! I'm amazed at the beautiful earth we live in. What a blessing!

(Do you like my frizzy hair? Every time I go to California this is what my hair looks like. It's the curse of naturally curly hair...It's great!)

We will be here for a few more days and I will post pictures of Disneyland. It should be an awesome adventure!

Have you seen this?

I heard about this on the news and liked it so I thought I'd share it with you. It's called Depression Cooking With Clara. I was never close to my grandma's and often I regret not learning more from them. I really enjoy watching her cook. She has a technique that's unique to grandmas! More episodes can be found on YouTube. Enjoy!
