He puts ketchup on his ketchup

2 fellow family members who live here in SG had birthdays this month and I got to make their cakes. I don't get to make cakes/cupcakes very often so I had a lot of fun.

This first one was for my little bro. He likes ketchup - a LOT! and it's the only thing I could think to put on his cake. Plus, I thought it would be fun to make a ketchup cake. So that's what he got. Just what everyone wants for their birthday, right?!

This is the bottle I used as my inspiration.

Ted used to be a rodeo clown and, of course, is a cowboy so I wanted to do a western theme. I wracked my brain for the longest time trying to decide what to make. I never came up with anything special so he got grass, a mud puddle, and a little cowboy hat. Poor guy! (C. sculpted that hat for me)

Pretty impressive. I have decided against trying to make cakes for my kid's birthdays because they always turn out disasterous!
